What does the training consist of?
At Coastal Fitness we place focus on moving the body in a functional way to improve your day to day life. Functional fitness exercise simulates common movements using large groups of muscles together; applying this type of exercise to your daily routine can reduce your risk of injury and improve your quality of life.
The sessions will include cardio, body weight exercises and weighted exercises. We also have a range of equipment that will make it fun and enjoyable for everyone.
I am very unfit, can I still participate?
Of course! You will perform exercises at an intensity that will suit your current fitness level. The start of every month involves a fitness benchmark test where we evaluate your level and tailor the exercise to your needs. If you are at a lower level, we give you the tools to get to the next level over time, without injury or fear.
All members of Coastal Fitness have a starting point, and everyone’s journey is different. Place focus on where you want to go, and we will assist you in getting there!
What results will I see?
If you attend the 3 sessions per week and follow our nutritional guide, you are guaranteed to be well on your way to achieving your health and fitness goal. Positive changes can be seen in as little as four weeks with the correct diet, training and motivation. Results will vary depending on your individual goals. However everyone should see an increase in their self confidence and energy level!
What if it is raining?
We train in both the rain and sunshine. The confidence boost people get when they have the discipline to get out of bed and train in the rain early in the morning is something you need to experience to understand. You will feel a sense of pride in yourself and boost your confidence, plus get to brag to your friends and work mates that while they were sleeping, you were getting fitter and training in the elements.
What if everyone is fitter than me?
The sessions are designed to suit everyone's ability; from the member that is new to fitness, through to the athlete that has an established training regime. Teamwork is one of the core values Coastal Fitness abides by, and plays an important role in the success of your goals. Motivation will not only be given from the trainer, but also from the other members.
What if I want to cancel my membership?
Contact us 14 days prior to the next debit date, once you have completed your initial 12 week program. Please note that during the first three months we have a no cancellation policy, however after this period you are placed on a more flexible monthly membership.
What do I bring with me to training?
Sturdy footwear that will support you during the session.
Fitness style t-shirt or singlet.
Water bottle and towel.
A sense of humour, and the willingness to learn.
